PICK OF THE DAY
Chester - Woking
Tip : 2
Odd : 3.00
FT : 0:2 WIN!!!
Chester FC often flirt with relegation at least once a season and their fans will be hoping that their beloved side are just getting it out of the way nice and early this time around as their club sits in the bottom four with twelve games played. Tuesday night its promotion hopefuls Woking who arrive in the North West looking to extend their four game unbeaten run with another three points against a Chester side they simply love playing against.
These two sides so often produce exciting, action packed matches when they clash on the football field, with all of their last five games producing over 2.5 goals and seeing each side get on the scoreboard. Last season Woking twice notched three goals against Chester, winning 3-1 at home and then 3-2 at the Deva Stadium in April. The previous three games finished 2-1, 5-2, and 3-2 all in favour of Woking, so it’s not a bad idea to prepare yourself for another goal fest.
The visitors are the clear form favourites ahead of kick-off after they picked up four wins, one draw and just a single defeat from their last six matches, while Chester have only won once during that period, but it did at least arrive in their latest match at home to Maidenhead United.
Dawson and the returning Ross Hannah lead the way in front of goal for Chester this season with three goals each, while teammate Akintunde is just one behind the duo on two. Woking carry much more of a goal threat than their hosts as they possess goals in midfield as well as up front. Ward has scored five National League goals this season, while Carter and Effiong have three, with Banton and Charles-Cook on two each.
With the way the sides are both playing, and given their history, we’re predicting a Woking win tomorrow night.
