Angers - Laval
Tip : 1
Odd : 1.90
FT : 1:0 WIN !!!
Angers is coming from a rather unreal 3:0 loss to Nimes last weekend. In the first halftime, both sides were equal, but failed to score. However, in the second the home side (Nimes) looked a bit better and more pushy for the goal, as they managed to score three times in the last fifteen minutes of the match. After the first goal scored, Angers lost a great opportunity to get back into the game and found themselves struggling, as the opponent scored twice more and reach the victory with the score that didn’t reflect the differences between the two sides on the field.
It was the first defeat for Angers after eight matches, however four out of those eight finished with a draw only, as the team lost valuable points in the promotional battle. Moreover, they are now on a run of three matches without a victory and if they want to have a chance of being into the top three, winning today is imperative for them. There is a great stress and pressure from the home crowd to get the victory tonight, otherwise promotional players will for sure be a failure this season. Team is currently at fifth position with only two points less than third placed Guingamp.
Angers will have three absent players for the current game as they will miss defenders Ibrahima Diallo (29/1) and Fabien Boyer (22/0) and Martin Fall (29/1). All of these three players are important absences for the defending lineup of the home side and they will surely have to risk in order to get the victory tonight.
Laval is coming from a home draw against Lens last weekend with a 1:1 result. The game started perfectly for the visitors as they took the leading goal in tenth minute, while the home side tried to get the equalizer as soon as possible. Guests were better during the game, but failed to close the game and conceded in the last minute of the match to get a unfair 1:1 result, as Laval should feel lucky to have get the draw.
With only one victory in last six matches, Laval felt into relegation trouble as the team currently holds fifteenth position with only two points more than relegating placed Le Mans. Weak point of the team is their defensive lineup that looks to be in a terrible form and are simply unable to keep the clean sheet. Among Le Man and Sedan, team has the third worst defense in the league and also, have conceded at least a goal in eight of the last nine matches. Defender Miodrag Stosic (5/0) remains injured, while suspended is irreplaceable midfielder Gaetan Belaud (30/0) and is more significant absence for the guests.
This game is the last chance for the home side to continue their race and make this season to remember. They do miss several players in defense, but so does Laval has huge problems in the defending lineup. Home side are clear favorites to get the three pointer tonight.
