Chelsea - Basel
Tip : GG (both to score)
Odd : 1.85
FT : 3:1 WIN!!!
Chelsea will be without Ashley Cole for this match as the left back is suspended after picking up a yellow card for time wasting of all things in the first leg last week. Ryan Bertrand is set to fill his place in the side. Fernando Torres will start up front because Demba Ba is cup-tied while Frank Lampard could also play to use his experience in the situation. Even though they lead in the tie Chelsea should look to attack.
FC Basel head to London knowing they have to score two goals to have any chance of going into the final. They will be buoyed by the knowledge that last time they were in London they managed to score twice at White Hart Lane so they know it is possible. Chelsea have conceded a few goals at home in Europe this season as well so there is plenty to give the Swiss side heart going into this second leg.
Chelsea haven’t been watertight at home in Europe this season and even sides like Sparta Prague scored at the Bridge in this competition so FC Basel should believe they can at least score even if they don’t score twice or more to give them a chance of going through. At some point the Swiss outfit are likely to have to take risks and Chelsea have a good attacking core to take advantage of that so I think this will be a game both teams score in.
