Dortmund have won every match at the Westfalen Stadium in the Champions League this season so they will be entering this tie with plenty of confidence. That confidence could be eased slightly though by the doubts over Mats Hummels and Jakub Blaszczykowski as both are key players for them. Dortmund had to come from behind to win at the weekend which might have sharpened their minds for this.
Malaga have done very well to make the quarter finals in their debut season but they are not finished yet. They will feel this tie is there’s for the taking if they can get a goal as it would mean Dortmund would need to score twice. I think this tie will become a bit end to end at some point so the suspensions of defensive players Weligton and Manuel Iturra isn’t ideal.
I think this match will be a lot more open than the first leg was and if Malaga get a goal it will really open up, especially if their goal is the first one. Malaga are missing one or two defensive players while Mats Hummels would be a huge loss for Dortmund if he isn’t fit to play. Both sides have some quality attacking players on show and so I expect to see goals in this match and at least three of them.
