Lazio raced to a 4-0 win over Sampdoria last weekend, continuing their fantastic form in front of goal. Are they going to find a trip to Torino and their new-look back three a difficult challenge, or will the Aquile continue their free-scoring ways in this visit to Turin? Lazio won’t worry too much about hitting four goals for a third game in a row, but they’ll be desperate to pick up another three points as they look to hold on to their place in the top four, with Inter just a point behind them in the table.

Torino lost 2-1 at Atalanta last weekend, and with that result any hope they had of making the top seven this season went. Walter Mazzarri has made a solid start since taking charge mid-season, but he has work to do in order to turn around their fortunes next term. Meanwhile, Lazio are focusing on the here and now, and they head in to this trip needing another three points, after a brilliant season which really should end with them booking their place in the Champions League group stage.

Part of Lazio’s great from has been the displays from Ciro Immobile, who has hit 29 goals in 31 starts for the Aquile. The forward scored 27 goals in 47 Serie A appearances for Torino, and has netted 13 so far at the Granata’s ground, including one in their last visit here last term. The striker is playing in front of a Lazio side who are perfectly set up to create chances for him, and with that in mind we’re backing him to add to the seven goals he’s scored in his last seven club games, as we’re backing Immobile to score any time.

Of course, Torino will be expecting to strike back, having hit 1.59 goals per game at home this season. They’re facing a Lazio side who have seen both teams score in 82% of their trips this term, so we should see goals at both ends in this encounter, with the last four meetings between the two seeing BTTS land. However, given those defensive issues, the Aquile will need to hit more than one, as they have to get three points here.
