Championship action here for me in a game that will be played at Ashton Gate and will kick off at 19:45 UK time. The game will be between Bristol City and Birmingham City.

The home side currently lie in 8th in the table and have recently slipped outside of the play off places. Bristol City was in a really good place just a month or so, however, a poor run of form has seen then slip outside. They are currently just 4 points behind Middlesbrough and need to get back to winning ways pretty sharp.

Bristol City have had a great season in my opinion, they don't have the best squad in the league and I think a play off place would be an amazing achievement, however, I think they will be just short this season. Manager Lee Johnson has done very well at the club and he will be fully aware that they still have an outside chance.

Bristol City head into the game with just 2 wins in their last 7 league games, 2 draws and 3 defeats. The 2 wins came at home on both occasions and were both to nil. They were wins vs Sheffield Wednesday (4-0) and Ipswich Town (1-0). They do head into the game on the back of 2 straight defeats and they have failed to score in both games. Their last game was a 2-0 defeat to Millwall who actually over took them.

The visitors for the game are Birmingham City, they do need to fight for points also, however, not for a play off place, it's for survival in the league! Birmingham City currently lie in 20th in the table and head into the game in form. They are 3 points clear of Barnsley, however, Barnsley have a game in hand.

Birmingham City have won 3 of their last 4 games and drawn one. They have conceded just 1 goal. 10 points from 4 games has seen the survival of the club and manager Gary Monk has worked wonders. Birmingham City have managed 11 wins and 7 draws in their 41 league games. Birmingham City have managed to score in a lot of away games this season.

I think with the two clubs having things to fight for that there will be goals in this game. I'll be backing BTTS at a price of 1.91 with William Hill. Good luck all.
