PICK OF THE DAY
West Hem - Bournemouth
Tip : 1
Odd : 2.10
FT : ??
For small stake 1&4+, Odd is 7.00
Both West Ham and Bournemouth faced FA Cup replays in midweek after
failing to beat their lower league opposition a couple of weekends ago,
and whilst both sides were disappointing, one team fared much better
than the other. West Ham were taken to extra time by Shrewsbury but
eventually got a 1-0 win, whilst Bournemouth were completely outplayed
by League One leaders Wigan and lost 3-0 at the DW Stadium.
For
West Ham this was a welcome victory after their excellent performance
last weekend. They produced one of their best displays of the season as
they demolished Huddersfield 4-1, with Manual Lanzini and Marko
Arnautovic making for an efficient strike partnership.
These two
results take The Hammers unbeaten run to six matches in all
competitions, lifting them up to 11th in the Premier League table. They
are still only five points above the drop zone, but it’s a welcome turn
of form to get them out of immediate danger.
Bournemouth’s
unbeaten streak came to an end in midweek, and despite avoiding defeat
in their last four league matches, they are just four points above the
drop zone down in 13th.
The Cherries’ overwhelming issue is their
back line, which has conceded a huge 15 goals in their last six games.
This includes three at home to West Ham on Boxing Day in a thrilling 3-3
draw. Back at the London Stadium we’re expecting the in form Hammers to
get more than just a point though.
Bournemouth are winless in
their last five away matches in the Premier League and have conceded
nine goals, and whilst West Ham haven’t been the most reliable home form
in the competition, they have won two of their last four, including a
confidence boosting win against Chelsea.
Overall, Bournemouth have
lost six of their 11 away matches in the league this season, and that
thrashing against Wigan will undoubtedly have damaged morale. Backing a
West Ham Win looks the best option here, along with a 3-1 correct score
predictions.
