Crystal Palace - Watford
Tip : GG (both to score)
Odd : 1.75
FT : ??
Watford will probably struggle to believe they are in this final after the amazingly dramatic way in which they won their semi final. They have no new injury concerns since that semi final so Gianfranco Zola will have plenty of players to choose from. As Ian Holloway pointed out earlier in the season, not all of them belong to Watford which has been a pretentious issue all season. Manuel Almunia is expected to keep the goalkeepers jersey.
Crystal Palace go into this final off the back of a solid win over Brighton in the semi final with Wilfried Zaha shining brightly particularly in the second leg. This will be his final game for Palace and he’ll want to leave with the ultimate reward for the club he’s played at for so long. Palace won’t be helped by Glen Murray’s injury but they still have plenty of goals in them. Aaron Wilbraham will continue to deputise for Murray.
This will be an exciting, high quality final despite what is on the line. Both sides only know how to play one way and that is on the front foot with an open, expansive style. Both teams will attack in this match and both sides have plenty of players who can get in the box and score. Both sides are dangerous at set pieces and in normal play and I struggle to see how this won’t be full of goals. I think both teams to score looks a fairly obvious bet.
