Hereford managed to avoid the defeat away to top placed Grimsby with the score of 1-1. Although they have been found losing from the second minute of the game, they managed to equalize before half time. Hereford has only one victory in their last five games, but to the league they have just two defeats in the last ten games. They are a little bit behind the first six positions that lead to the promotion play offs, but they have three games fewer than the other teams competing.
Coach Martin Foyle was pleased with the outcome stating that this was a very important result for his team, and with four points from their two away last games against the most difficult teams of the league, its surely a success. Striker Marlon Jackson (6 games, 4 goals), defender Chris Carruthers (13 games, 1 goal) and defender Andy Gallinagh (23 games) are out injured.
Telford lost at home with the heavy 1-3 against Southport. Although the first half ended 0-0, they received three goals in twelve minutes in the second half, and only managed to reduce the score at the end of the game. This was the fifth defeat in their last six games and they have just one win in the past 15 games and that was for the FA Trophy against an amateur team.
In the league they are with no win in eleven games, and reached the relegation zone now, although they are within striking distance from safe positions. Coach Andy Sinton said that the last game is a summary of what is happening to the team in the last quarter, and stated that he feels uncomfortable, as there is frustration from the fans, and admitted that they need some new faces to improve the squad in order to avoid relegation.
Midfielder Jay Smith, defender Michael Briscoe (3 games), defender Liam Chilvers (8 games), defender Chris Blackburn (3 games) and midfielder Richard Davies (13 games, 2 goals) are all out injured, while striker Stephen Jones (16 games, 7 goals) is back after four games penalty.
Telford is extremely out of form, to this period they have many problems, while Hereford is much better and improving constantly. Easy or hard, Hereford is expected to take all three points and continue their battle to reach promotion play offs.
